Reason for the Season

I saw this today.

I think he might have missed a few of the finer points of the myth in Sunday school. Either that, or he's one of the bi-polar christians.

No matter what, I love it.

4,500 feet

This is the top of Mt. Si on Sunday. I went flying for the first time in a long time.

I haven't been flying because my new airplane (new in May) had a major mechanical problem the first of June. I've been wingless since. I haven't written about this near-disaster, mainly because I was chagrined. But I'm not anymore, really. I just miss flying.

My airplane will be back in the air some time in the next eight weeks. But it was time to get up again. So I've checked out in a friend's airplane - fairly identical to my old airplane.

January I'm going away for a while. In an airplane. Probably my friend's. Alone. There will be lots of pictures and stories of flying in sunny places then.

Why it means christmas

I don't know why gaudy lights mean christmas, but I like it. I always have.
