I've been gone to CA. Sister Gail and I flew down on the 757 and were met by sister Leslie. We dined on Chinese (food) then girded ourselves for a trip to The Ranch.
Gail and I were going to start clearing off stuff in preparation for sale of said ranch.
My main impressions from the trip are these:
-collecting shit is evil
-having too many avocations is messy for everyone but you
-hanta virus may or may not kill me
-Budget Rental trucks need cd players, cruise control, and some funk; they're no fun, really
-rolling hills of townhomes are growing in all directions
-a few people still support Bush/Cheney. Or the stickers just wouldn't come off
-Sizzler has a new logo, but the same reliable salad/taco/dessert bar - you can be as healthy as you want to be. And you can top your soft-serve with fake crab salad
-I think Olympia has somehow grown farther from Seattle. The last hour was very long
-I am making life messy for my heirs now
