Holly Jolly

Red and I just walked up to my postal place to send off a UPS package and check my mail. The neighborhood is alive with people decorating for the holidays. Click on the pics to see the lavish detail.

We found the whole Charlie Brown crew nailed into someone's lawn - it looks like the decorations he made back in 1958 when he first bought his jigsaw. I like a lot about this scene, but particularly the disembodied heads of people singing around Schroeder's piano.

And we found Seattle Mayor and Mrs. Greg Nickels decorating their house. Red raced up for a hello, and they posed with her for a photo.

And this couple in their twin middle America cars were getting their xmas card picture taken. So I took one too. They thought that was pretty festive of me.

Unfortunately, I've been naughty this year. And Santa knows that, of course.

Does the monk suck on a cigarette, or does the cigarette exhale into the monk?

Boring video of Seattle in the morning

Just a short clip of a gorgeous Seattle morning.

Today.

Satan's coming

Oh my god I laughed at this.

It's a photo set of children crying on Santa's lap. There are a couple of Santas looking rough as hell, too. (Picture 7 - Santa had had a very big night.)

Conspiracy query

Did anyone else notice how gas prices dropped off significantly from September, through October, and into November? Here in Seattle they leveled at just under $2.30 or so, at least at my local.

Since the election they have climbed right back up. It's over $2.60 now.

W. may be a failed oil-man, but he's still got his hand in the pot.

They lost anyway.

7.30 this morning. The Olympics. And almost enough to make us forget that in November there was one single day that Seattle did not record rain. Almost.
