Blogger won't let me log in to post writing any more. They've switched me to some beta product...and I can't do anything but post images. So you'll just have to look at odd pictures for a while until I get it work out. So, on to odd pictures: this is the guy you simply do not want to challenge in traffic. Driving the $200 car that hasn't been washed since it was a $500 car. All the condiments in the back window...and Metamusil to make sure it all works out. (If you do have a fender bender with the guy, don't accept the hot dog he offers you.)

This was north of Ellensburg on the mountain ridge overlooking the valley at about 3,600 feet. This basalt formation had some crazy lichen formation on it. Big. Beautiful. Lichen.

The New York Times has a review up right now of a new Dodge pickup truck. It costs $57,000 and is capable of 150 mph. "This truck could be more politically incorrect only if it ran on whale oil and panda tears." Exactly.
