What do you call this object? It's called a "large cancelled order."
I built a particularly nice sign for a local woman a few weeks ago. She was thrilled. She came back and asked me to build three planters, each five feet long, by three tall, by two deep, for her vacation place on Hood Canal. So I bought the iron ($525), and yesterday built the first planter. It went really well. Long, long welds. Got a couple of good cuts from the raw edges of steel. But my work is coming along. I brought this planter home last night to begin the rusting patina process.
This morning she called to say her landscape architect felt they'd be far too heavy for the foundation. Something one might have consulted with the L.A. before committing to an order like this.
So... do you know anyone who needs a burial vault?

You need some kind of contract that states they need to pay you for the job you started. She made the order, and regardless of whether or not she uses them is of no concern to you.
