If the ear-splitting, oil burning, speed freaking Blue Angels display doesn't incite our young to race to recruiters to go to other countries and kill foreigners, I don't know what will.

The whole thing this year felt a little tone-deaf to me for the first time. A lot of people are getting queasy about military conflict. And there were lots of people - at least in the crowds that I was near this weekend - asking, "is this a good use of thousands of gallons of fuel?" Naive, but it's what they're asking.
