Unsung

There was Pope John Paul for twenty-odd years. I remember learning at the time that the new pope gets to choose his own name. So all this time I was pretty sure his successor would call himself - in the spirit of reunition - Pope George Ringo.

Those two have never gotten the credit they deserve. Ratzinger's not helping.
